  • 1/4 a cup of boiling water from the kettle
  • 1/2 a teaspoon of instant coffee
  • 1/2 a cup of oats
  • 1 tablespoon of Chai seeds
  • 1/4 of a cup of milk
  • 2 teaspoons of honey
  • 1/3 of a cup 65g of blackberries or any other berries you like
  • A pinch of cinnamon
  • A sprig of mint leaves picked and roughly chopped

For the next day

  • 1 tablespoon of honey
  • 2 tablespoon of natural yogurt
  • A handful of walnuts crushed

  1. Mix your boiling water and instant coffee together.
  2. Mix your oats, chai seeds, coffee, milk, honey, blackberries, cinnamon and chopped mint in a bowl, container or jar. Cover then leave in the fridge overnight.

The next day

  1. When you are ready to eat your overnight oats, use the back of a spoon to slowly ripple (semi mix) the honey and yogurt together in a bowl.
  2. Transfer your oats in a serving bowl. Put your rippled honey and yogurt on top and finally, sprinkle over your walnuts. Enjoy.

Recipe Notes

  • As long as you have the right liquid to oats ratio, you can add whatever else you want. Different kinds of fruits, nuts, you could use almond milk instead, you could top it off with peanut butter. For the people who work out, you could add some of your protein powder. The list is endless.
