Ingredients

Instructions

  1. Rub the citrus of the lemon wedge around the rim of your glass. Then dip the wet rim of your glass into the pile flaked salt. Set aside.

  2. Put your tequila, Cointreau, lime juice, sugar syrup and ice blocks in a blender. Blend on high speed for 1-2 minutes.

  3. Transfer the margarita into your salt garnished glass (be careful not to ruin the salt garnish).
  4. Finish the drink with your lime wedge and serve.

Recipe Notes

  • Don't forget to actually measure the ice, because the amount of ice you add is important.
  • Feel free to add frozen fruit, to give a fruity flavour to your cocktail. Replace half of the ice with your fruit.
  • Feel free to add any other type of orange liqueur. You could use triple sec or Grand Marnier.
  • If you do add fruit, taste test the cocktail first before you add sugar syrup as the fruit itself may already be sweet enough.
  • If you want to make a virgin frozen margarita, replace the tequila with soda water, and the liqueur with fresh orange juice. Again, taste test the mocktail before you add any sugar syrup.
