A white walker themed cocktail with dragon glass spiked candy sticking out of it. A very easy cocktail to make, yet it's creative at the same time.

Ingredients

The Dragon Glass Candy:

The White Walker Cocktail:

  • 1-2 tablespoon of kosher salt
  • blue food colouring
  • 1 quarter of a fresh lemon
  • Plenty of crushed ice
  • oz of vodka
  • 1 oz of blue curacao
  • Lemonade (that has a clear colour, not a yellow colour)

Instructions

The Dragon Glass Candy:

  1. Put your sugar and water in a pan, then bring it up to a boil over the stove. Once the syrup is boiling, turn the stove down to medium heat.

  2. After approximately 10-15 minutes, you should start to see the syrup go slightly golden.

  3. Once you the sugar syrup turns into caramel (meaning it's a nice golden colour), turn the stove off and then carefully add a small drop of blue food colouring and mix it through.
  4. Pour the caramel out onto greaseproof paper or a silicone mat, then wait for it to cool.

The White Walker Cocktail:

  1. Put your glass in your freezer for about 5 minutes.
  2. Put your salt on a plate, then add 1-2 drops of food colouring and then smear it on the salt. Mix it through until the salt turns blue, then spread it out a bit onto the plate.

  3. Take your glass out of the freezer, rub the lemon wedge around the rim of the glass, then dip the wet rim into your blue salt.
  4. Fill a quarter of your glass with the crushed ice, then add your vodka, blue curacao and then squeeze in the juice of your lemon wedge. Slowly mix it everything together with a spoon.

  5. Top the cocktail up with your lemonade, then finish it off with a little more crushed ice if you wish.

  6. Finally, break off long shards of the candy, and stick it into the cocktail to make it look really cool. Serve the drink straightway and enjoy!

Recipe Notes

  • Remember, one or 2 drops of blue food colouring will do the job, be careful not to add too much.
  • Do not touch the caramel/syrup as you simmer it!!
  • If you can't get crushed ice from your fridge, crush it yourself by wrapping it in a tea-towel and bashing it using something like a rolling pin.
  • Use a clear lemonade, not a coloured lemonade.
