Ingredients

Instructions

  1. Get a large bowl of cold water. Peel, core and quarter the apples and place them in the water to ensure they don't go brown.

  2. Get a pot or pan on medium-high heat, then add your butter. Once the butter has melted and is bubbling strain your apples, then add them to the pan. Cook them for about 5-6 minutes stirring about every minute.

  3. Once they start to soften a bit add your sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg, stir through and cook for another 5-6 minutes. Once the apples are tender and soft all the way through, transfer to a bowl and serve.

Recipe Notes

  • These apples are amazing with pork dishes. Or served as a dessert with ice-cream.
