It’s been a while since I’ve done a drinks recipe for Blogtastic Food and there are still a lot of classic cocktails I want to learn about. So I went ahead and started doing my research for the Tom Collins and wowza!! This is one delicious cocktail, it isn’t quite my favourite but it’s up there. It has a nice fizz with a great balance of gin, citrus and sweet flavours. During the process of making this cocktail I realised just how much I love using gin. I can really understand why so many other people love using it too as it’s so versatile. For me, gin has a very distinct flavour that works well with many other flavours and mixers, both food and drink.
I hope you have a lovely day. If you like this recipe and don’t want to miss any posts feel free to subscribe and/or my social media (:
Tom Collins cocktail
One of my favourite gin cocktails. Has that lovely sweet, sour and strong balance.
- 2 oz of gin
- 1 oz of fresh lemon juice
- 20 ml sugar syrup
- Soda water
- Lemon slice for garnish
- Plenty of ice cubes
- Get yourself a tall glass, and place about 4-5 ice cubes inside. Leave to chill for 2-3 minutes.
- Pour the gin, sugar syrup and lemon juice inside the glass, top up with soda water. Give the drink a small stir and then serve.
