Nine no churn ice cream flavours that will blow your mind! Including a vegan option, and a nice cream option. Take your pick, or just make all of them.
So, I made my baileys and salted caramel no churn ice cream (which you can find in this list of recipes), and I absolutely loved it. However, when it comes to no churn ice cream, there is potential for so many different flavours or flavour combos and that was just one.
That is why I challenged these bloggers to come up with there own no churn ice cream flavour. And let me tell you, they all did an incredible job! And the reason I am so happy with their work is that they didn’t just come up with the same old ice cream flavours (chocolate flavour for example) that have been done countless times.
They expanded so far beyond that and really gave their ice creams an incredibly creative twist. You’ll be shown how to make ice cream with cool whip, alcohol, bananas, cashew milk, coconut, nut butter, with and without heavy cream, with and without condensed milk, you’ll get 2 vegan options, one of them being a healthy nice cream option and the list goes on.
So the idea of no churn ice cream is that it doesn’t need to be made in an ice cream maker. No churn ice cream recipes are usually much quicker and easier to prepare, and they allow more people to make their own homemade ice cream. Now, is no churn ice cream better than churned ice cream? I would say that it depends on how good you make the no churn version.
In this case, I think the ice cream recipes here are just as good if not better. Don’t believe me? Just take a look at the list down below.
No Churn Ice Cream Flavours
Sarah’s Blackberry Cheesecake No Churn Ice Cream: A cheesecake in an ice-cream? Yep, that’s right, Sarah has done exactly that. She mixed both cream cheese and heavy cream to make her ice cream. Not only that, you know how cheesecakes have a biscuit base layer? She adds that element to the ice cream too, find out how by checking out her amazing recipe.
Jen’s Churro Smores No Churn Ice Cream: I mean, can you think of anything more tempting!? What part of this ice cream is unlikable? That’s right, nothing. This ice cream has a beautiful blend of flavours and textures.
Rachel Carr’s Coconut Ice Cream with Spiced Chocolate Sauce: You didn’t think we’d have a vegan option did you? However, Sarah, the most amazing Vegan chef of all time! Has made this possible with the use of coconut and chashew milk! Oh, and you see that chocolate sauce running down the sides? Yep, that’s not just a garnish for the photo, that’s a part of the recipe too. If you don’t think vegan options are possible, Sarah is bound to prove you wrong.
Marie’s No Churn Chocolate Brownie Ice Cream: We see so many brownies don’t we? I mean, how many people have you seen or heard claim that they have “the best brownie recipe”. Well, guess what, Marie just took it up a notch by making brownie ice cream. No no no, I don’t mean, she made chocolaty flavoured ice cream and called it a brownie ice cream. She made a brownie, then put bits of that brownie inside of her chocolate ice cream! If that does not get you pumped I don’t know what will.
Loreto and Nicoletta’s Turmeric, Ginger and Honey No Churn Ice Cream: This amazing Italian couple has honestly blown me away with this combo. I mean, what a way to spice this up, literally. And there isn’t a huge amount of these spices and aromas in the ice cream, there is just enough to make you go “ooooo” in a super awesome way of course. Thank you so much, Loreto and Nicoletta, for this incredible ice cream recipe!
Christine’s No Churn Peanut Butter Cup Ice Cream: I mean, it had to be done at some point right? Peanut butter just makes anything taste awesome, but Christine incorporated peanut butter cups in her ice cream so it’s extra epic! I bet you’d like to take one big bite right now huh? Oh, and she shows you how to make her recipe gluten free too.
Leanne’s Cherry Chocolate Chip Nice Cream: Another incredible vegan option? And what, healthy ice cream!? That’s right, Leanne made the most amazing nice cream ever. And tell me, doesn’t it look just as smooth if not more smooth then any other ice cream you’ve ever seen!? I certainly think it does. This recipe is so next level it’s ridiculous!
Julia’s Matcha Green Tea No Churn Ice Cream: What a way to use matcha powder huh? I mean, can you just imagine it. That feeling of being sad because you’ve finished eating all of your sushi, and you wish you had more. And then this just gets served right in front of you!? So why not make it!? Way to go Julia! Such an amazing recipe!
My Bailey’s Salted Caramel No Churn Ice Cream: And here you have my no churn ice cream recipe. The recipe that inspired me to do this collaboration. That Baileys gives a hint of warmth, and then I don’t completely mix the salted caramel through. I prefer to ripple it through so you get little pockets of it throughout the ice cream.
And there you have it, I hope these recipes serve you well (I mean, how can they not right?) and if you decide to make any of these recipes, feel free to tag me on Instagram @blogtastic.food.photography to show me how it all went.
